The “Individual Members Section, Southwick Community Association” to give us our full title, dates back to the founding of the Association in 1945.

Our purpose is twofold. We aim, in the first place, to support the Community Centre Association in a variety of ways – by volunteering to help with the running of the Centre, through its volunteer management and in areas such as the Café and the gardens; and through various fundraising efforts. But at the same time, we exist as a friendly social group in our own right, with a range of activities for individual members, including:

  • monthly meetings at the Centre (the fourth Wednesday of each month, except August and December) – at which there is usually a guest speaker *
  • organised trips to garden centres, museums, theatres, historic houses and other places of interest
  • an annual holiday trip of five or six days within the UK.

Membership

We are a happy group of people, always keen to welcome new members. If you would like to find out more, please contact our Enquiries Team, at enquiries@southwickcommunitycentre.org.uk
