Southwick Opera was founded in 1965. We perform two stage productions a year, in the Barn Theatre, usually in May and November. We also put on two concerts during the year.

Our performance range is wide – from grand opera, to operetta, to musicals.

We meet weekly at the Community Centre for company rehearsals, on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm. Additional rehearsals may be called for principals and extra chorus work.  And of course there is a great deal of other production activity at other times – for example in the set-building workshop and the wardrobe department.

If you enjoy singing and acting, or you like sewing, building scenery and generally working behind the the scenes, please contact us. New members are always welcome on stage and off.
