Our aim is to enable and inspire members to explore a wide range of art techniques and themes. We run sessions on drawing, painting, collage, composition – and much more. Our activities include:

  • ‘work-along’ sessions
  • general working sessions
  • ‘mutual appraisal’ – showing work and sharing feedback with other members
  • demonstrations
  • seeing and hearing from visiting artists.

We also hold a popular annual exhibition where members display their work for sale.

We meet every week at the Community Centre, on Wednesday evenings (apart from a break in the summer and over Christmas).  You can find details of this year’s programme on our external website.

Membership

New members are very welcome – and we encourage anyone who is interested in the club to come and join us for an evening before deciding if they’d like to become a member.

We charge a modest annual membership fee to cover the running costs of the club (the fee varies from year to year, depending on the number of members and our success at the annual exhibition, etc).
