Founded in 1963, the Playgroup recently celebrated 50 years at the Community Centre.

We welcome children from two to five years of age. Our doors are open to children from all backgrounds and cultures, and children with special needs. There is good disability access throughout the areas we use.

Our staff are well-trained, experienced and dedicated to provide good care for children and to create a stimulating learning environment for them.

Our sessions are planned to follow children’s interests and cover all areas of their development, through a range of activities using play and active learning. There is a large outside play area within the Community Centre gardens.

The Playgroup, and its setting in the Community Centre, is registered with Ofsted, which conducts regular inspections. The most recent inspection graded the playgroup provision as “good”.
