Southwick Community Centre is the heart of Southwick. Everyone is welcome here. Much of our recent fundraising has been to raise funds to support activity in the Centre for the people of Southwick. We’re a hub for the community to come together, for people to meet new friends.

Our café is the perfect place to have an affordable meal, meet new people, read a book in our little library area.

On Tuesday afternoons our Tea & Co. group meet between 2-4pm, for a free cuppa and biscuits. Everyone is welcome. Just drop in our volunteers will welcome you. Join in with occasional quizzes, bingo, craft activities or just have a chat.

Wherever we can we support local groups to access our rooms and facilities to support their activities. We currently support Love to Move a dementia friendly exercise group, which is growing every week.

Our Community Development fund raised from generous public donations and the Reed Foundation is being used to support courses run by the Centre, Talks, Craft classes.

Local collaborations

We’re working with local council to provide IT and Employability drop in Sessions, and Heron’s Dale Primary School to support the social development of their pupils by providing space in our café for them to meet new people and make food to sell in the café.

Brighton Big Band are rehearsing here since they lost their previous venue and are opening their rehearsals for free to the public to enjoy in The Barn.
