We are a society for people interested in ships and all things nautical. We have monthly meetings, with a guest speaker, and have talks on all aspects of shipping - general cargo, container, tanker, cruise and ferry, naval, tugs, workboats, ports, etc.
Membership is to the national organisation, The World Ship Society, and costs £26 a year. This includes a monthly email with our 64-page magazine “Marine News" and the 35-page "Marine News Supplement".
Our monthly meetings are on the fourth Thursday of the month (January to November) and the second Thursday in December.
Contact information
We are always keen to welcome new members. If you’d like to find out more, please contact our branch chairman, Philip Simons - p.simons102@btinternet.com
