We grew out of what was originally an adult education class at the Community Centre, but we’ve been operating now as an independent group since 2005

Our aim is to promote and practise the traditional textile art of lacemaking. Tuition is available for a whole range of styles, as requested by group members. These include, for example –

  • Torchon
  • Bucks Point
  • Bedfordshire
  • Russian Tape

We warmly welcome beginners who’d like to join our friendly group, as well as those who already have some knowledge of the craft.

Classes take place from September through to May. They are held every week in term-time, on Tuesday mornings (9.45 to 11.45am).

Further information

If you’d like to find out more about the class, please get in touch with Rosemary Brown – by phone (01273 591346) or by e-mail at Rjbrownsw@virginmedia.com
