About us
The “Southwick, Fishersgate and Kingston-by-Sea Allotment Holders and Gardeners’ Society” was formed during the First World War. Now called Southwick and Fishersgate Horticultural Society, we have always had a large membership and are keen participants in all the activities at the Community Centre. Our Society is affiliated not only to the Community Association, but also to the Royal Horticultural Society; the National Dahlia Society; the National Chrysanthemum Society and the British Gladiolus Society. So, all in all, we have a considerable amount of expertise to call on when required.
As well as our monthly meetings (see below) we hold other popular events through the year, including:
- Annual plant sale in May
- Summer flower show in August
- Autumn flower & produce show in October
- Coach outings to visit outstanding gardens in the region
Monthly meetings
